Make Good Health part of your Resolution for 2016
The first week of 2016 is already over. Have you made your resolutions yet? If yes, are you sincerely following them?
Here are a few quick tips on how you can make Good Health a part of your resolution for 2016:
i) Diet – going on a diet doesn’t mean that you have to starve. Don’t diet to lose weight. Follow a high protein diet in order to stay fit and healthy. Include a lot of fruits and vegetables. For meat eaters, eggs and boiled chicken would be a good meal while, for vegetarians, soya is a good option. Also try and cut down on your sugar intake.
ii) Work out – make a pledge to have a fitter body this year. Say goodbye to all the extra flab, hit the gym or join yoga. Working out not only leads to a healthy lifestyle but also inculcates a sense of discipline and makes you feel good.
iii) Sleep well – this might sound silly but you may not know how much sleep can affect your health. Sleep disorders are very common and can lead to many health problems, including depression. Make sure you get a good night’s sleep always. If you think you are chronically sleep deprived, get yourself tested for Sleep Apnea.
iv) Reduce smoking/alcohol – everybody talks about it but how many people actually take the first steps towards it? Take a stern decision this year to quit. Involve your friends to motivate you.
