CARE
Foundation |

|
Care Foundation is a not-for-profit organization
that has more than a decade of experience in
research and technology development for healthcare
and has been a ground force for the Care Hospitals
(a chain of for-profit tertiary care hospitals
spanning across south and central India) to deliver
quality healthcare at affordable cost with a strong
focus on medical ethics, professional education and
operational efficiency. It has been a pioneer in
developing telemedicine technology that has been
helping thousands of remote patients over the past
years. |
 |
|
The Foundation has been constantly attempting to
design the service delivery models for remote rural
populations. This attempt has led to the
conceptualization of a unique healthcare delivery
model that is broad ranged, uses modern technologies
and creates a self sustaining infrastructure where
the local people drive it as a profitable business
to meet local community needs and not treat it as
charity. They gain the respect of a consumer and get
empowered with enough knowledge and confidence to
demand appropriate service. At the same time the
model has enough renewable resources to sustain
itself in the long run and able to grow at the
desired pace.
