The second CARE Nursing Conclave was held on 14-15 March 2015 at Hyderabad. It was attended by nurses from all units across the Group. Dr B Soma Raju, CMD, released the Nursing Handbook, a useful reference material which contains subjects covered during the nursing induction program. The Chairman urged the nurses to continue to grow through learning and also not lose sight of their own health and well-being. Useful talks delivered during the Conclave were on topics like:“The Role of Nurses in Mission Levers” by Dr N Krishna Reddy, Vice-Chairman; “The Power of Nursing: Guiding Patients through a Journey of Uncertainty” by Dr Veda Prakash, Consultant, Orthopedics; “Compassion in Healthcare” by Dr Vasundhara Tulasi; “How is CARE Different” by Dr Rajeev Menon, CMS; “Innovative Strategies to Improve Nursing” by Dr Sridevi, Consultant, Cardiology and “Delivering Best Care and Maintaining Emotional Well-being in ICUs” by Dr Rajasekhara Rao, Consultant, Cardiothoracic Surgery. The Nampally nursing team released a pocket book on nursing etiquettes, in memory of Late Sr Elaine Paise. Participants were at their creative best in depicting “Nursing Leadership” and “Empowering Nurses” –– themes for the poster competition. The quiz competition saw enthusiastic participation by nurses and HODs alike. Electrifying dance and song performances during the cultural program made for a memorable evening. The Conclave ended with the award ceremony where, to the applause of an appreciative audience, jubilant nurses from various units walked up to receive their prizes. After the vote of thanks and group photographs, associates fondly bade farewell to their new found friends from other units.
