The Department of Otology&Neurotology is a subspecialty devoted to the care of adult and pediatric patients with problems of the ear. The department is dedicated to treating the middle and inner ear, hearing impaired with micro ear surgeries and dedicated Cochlear Implant Clinic. Malignant otitis, glomus, acoustic neuromas and tumors of the skull base are also treated. The goal of the department is to provide a complete range of services for the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with hearing loss and skull base lesions and extend the reach of our services, both individually and collectively.
The Department of Rhinology is devoted to treatment of the nose, including the sinuses. Rhinology concerns itself with medical and surgical diseases of the nasal passages as well as sinusitis – acute and chronic, environmental allergic rhinitis, endoscopic DCR surgery, sino-nasal and pituitary tumors, severe or recurrent epistaxis.
The Department of Facial Plastic Surgery deals with plastic surgery of the nose (rhinoplasty) and face.
It also conducts rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery live surgical workshops every year and trains about 150 ENT, Plastic and Maxillo Facial Surgeons annually. The department has exclusive facilities for nose plastic surgery, otoplasty for prominent ‘bat ears’ among children and adults, upper and lower lid blepharoplasty, brow lift, face lift, removal of facial lesions and scars and Botox injections.
The Department of Laryngology specializes in treating disorders of the throat, including voice and swallowing problems. Voice Surgeons, Speech and Language Pathologists treat voice disorders using the latest technology and treatment options. Patients with hoarseness of voice due to professional voice usage such as politicians, singers, teachers, marketing and other professional voice users with vocal cord nodules, cysts and polyps are treated here. Vocal cord cancers (laryngeal) and oro phyaryngeal cancer screening by endoscopy and treatment is also available. Neurological disorders such as vocal cord paralysis are treated by vocal cord medialisation thyroplasty using Gor-Tex laser cordectomy for bilateral abductor paralysis and Botox injections for patients with spasmodic dysphonia.
The Department of Pediatric Otolaryngology treats children with common illnesses such as tonsillitis, adenoiditis, sinusitis, stridor and middle ear infections (otitis media) using the latest guidelines for medical treatment and the most advanced techniques for surgical treatment.
The Department of Sleep Medicine is a sub specialty devoted to the diagnosis and therapy of sleep disturbances and disorders. Comprehensive laser surgical management for patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome (OSAS) and snoring is provided.
