About the Hospital

Galaxy CARE Hospitals was initially started by a group of laparoscopic surgeons and gynecologists from Pune as a 50-bed hospital. In January 2009, the institute became part of the CARE Hospitals Group.

Galaxy CARE was recently upgraded to a multispecialty 125-bed facility. New services such as a Cath Lab have been added. The Laboratory, General Ward and Endocrinology Departments have come up on an entirely new fourth floor. With its modern infrastructure and vibrant colours that are more than matched by the energy and enthusiasm of the team.

The hospital is a pioneer in laparoscopic cancer surgeries in India, with thousands of patients from all over the country benefitting from the advanced laparoscopic techniques, developed and popularized by the institute.

Galaxy CARE Hospitals is also a leader at the new frontiers of medical science, with NOTES — Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery and SILS — Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgeries. The SILS performed at Galaxy CARE Hospitals include single incision appendicectomy, single incision hysterectomy, single incision cholecystectomy and single incision laparoscopic radical hysterectomy — the first ever to be performed in the world!
