In the Pre-Transplant work-up, the fitness of the patient is evaluated by conducting various tests such as biochemistry analysis, blood tests, tumor markers, viral markers, radiology evaluation, CT-Scans, Angiogram, endoscopy, and ECHO test. During your heart transplant, the surgeon and CARE team will:

You will stay in the intensive care unit (ICU) for a few days and then be
moved to a regular room in the hospital. Meanwhile, you will be monitored
for any signs or symptoms of rejection, such as fever, fatigue, shortness of
breath, weight gain or not urinating as much.
