Pituitary tumors - what you need to know | Dr. T V Rama Krishna Murthy | CARE Hospitals

Pituitary tumors are abnormal growths in the pituitary gland. This little organ is about the size of a pea. It is placed near the base of the brain, behind the nose. Some of these tumors cause the pituitary gland to produce an excessive amount of particular hormones that regulate vital bodily processes. Dr. T. V. Rama Krishna Murthy, consultant neurosurgeon, CARE Hospitals, HITEC City, Hyderabad, talks more in detail about pituitary tumors. He also explains how these tumours are removed.
