Dr. Mahendra K. Chauhan has been a Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgeon in Nagpur for more than 15 years. He has gained expertise and knowledge in every area of Laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Mahendra K. Chauhan completed MBBS at Nagpur University, MCI recognized (2000) and MS (Surgery) at Grant Medical College and J.J. Hospital Mumbai University, MCI recognized (2005).

He is skilled in laparoscopic and hepatobiliary surgery as well as oncosurgery. This includes stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreaticobiliary cancer, and head and neck cancer. In addition, major urogenital surgeries like nephrolithotomy, prostatectomy, and nephrectomy are also performed.

Several of his peer-reviewed publications have been published in national and international journals following his presentations at many conferences. Among his research publications are A Biochemical Analysis Of Urolithiasis At AVBRH: Spectrum Of 240 Stones Composition Study. December 2009 vol. 4 no.3 2009 Journal Of Datta Meghe Institute Of Medical Sciences Sawangi Wardha. He has presented his papers in national and international conferences, including Bio-Chemical Analysis Of Urolithiasis At AVBRH: A Clinical Study at the Arsicon 2008 Conference, Sewagram, 15 to 17 November 2008. ""Multiple organ dysfunction syndrome in limb cellulitis - surgical outcome"": presented in the ""International Minimal Access Surgery Conference"" , a CME Come Live Workshop held at AIIMS from 26 to 28 March 2010.

He has also worked as an Associate Professor at Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Digdoh Hingana Road, Nagpur. He led multidisciplinary teams and clinics that did laparoscopic surgery during his tenure as an Associate Professor.
