  • Expertise in the diagnosis and management of diseases such as Lung infections(Pneumonias), Asthma, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD), cystic fibrosis, lung cancer, interstitial lung diseases, COVID pneumonias, Tuberculosis, Lung fibrosis, Sleep Disorders
  • Provide Respiratory Medicine expertise in Medical, Surgical, Cardiovascular, Neurological and Nephrological Intensive Care Units.
  • Proficient in Fibreoptic and Rigid Bronchoscopy, Bronchial Alveolar Lavage (BAL) sampling, bronchial wash/toileting for diagnostic/therapeutic purposes in unresolving/covid pneumonia, Lung collapse, and Lung Malignancy
  • EBUS-TBNA Endobronchial Ultrasound with Transbronchial needle sampling of Mediastinal lymph nodes

  • SKILLS AS AN INTENSIVIST:
  • Care of all patients in the ICU in conjunction with surgical and medical attending physicians
  • Provide continuous vigilance of care, early intervention, and ongoing care with the goal to decrease ICU mortality and morbidity
  • Perform inpatient and outpatient procedures, consultation and follow up care
  • Perform critical care procedures like central line insertion, Dialysis line insertion, Arterial line insertion all under Ultrasound guidance. Transcutaneous pacemaker, Endotracheal intubation, Airway management, lumbar puncture, Pleural tapping, ascitic tapping
  • Complete Bed Side Ultrasound Screening - Lung screening, E fast scan in trauma, 2D Echo screening, IVC screening for fluid management, Abdomen and Bladder screening, Screening of Optic nerve sheath diameter for raised ICP
  • Monitoring patients on ECMO
  • Examine and evaluate each patient after admission to the ICU and notify the attending physician of assessment and recommendations
  • Perform and document subsequent evaluation of all patients in the Critical Care unit on daily rounds
  • Respond to all Cardiac and Respiratory arrest in the Critical Care unit, assuming the role of code team leader and manage patients according to BLS and ACLS Protocols
