CROSSTALK AMONG SPECIALTIES: MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAMWORK
Hands-on mannequins-based training, Clinical Discussion & Challenges
We are delighted to extend an invitation on behalf of CARE Hospitals and the Infection
Control
Academy of India (IFCAI) to attend the 11th National Certificate Course in Hospital
Infection
Prevention and Control.
In recent times, infection control has become a vital part of modern health services around
the
world. Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs) have become a significant barrier to successful
medical
treatments and interventions. In addition to HAIs, the world in general and India in
specific is
witnessing an alarming rise in anti-microbial resistance (AMR). This seriously threatens
modern
science by rendering treatments ineffective, resulting in more extended hospital stays and
higher
medical expenses. HAIs coupled with AMR affect treatment outcomes and lead to significant
morbidity and mortality. Therefore, infection prevention and control have become the
collective
responsibility of all medical, paramedical, and administrative professionals in all
hospitals globally.
Achieving this requires a detailed understanding and rigorous practice of standard infection
control
procedures.
Patient safety is the foundation upon which modern medicine rests. It is a priority for
healthcare
providers, administrators, and patients. Ensuring Patient safety is impossible without
containing HAI
and AMR. Healthcare stakeholders across the globe are now prioritizing IPC, AMS, and WASH to
address these threats effectively.
The Infection Control Team at CARE Hospitals, Nampally, led by Dr. Mustafa Afzal, has
pioneered
infection control since 2013. The certification course supported by the Infection Control
Academy of
India (IFCAI) has become a highly-acclaimed training program running into its 11th
consecutive year.
Over this decade-long journey, more than 10,000 nurses, doctors, students and qualified
professionals have been trained in this coveted program - making it immensely popular among
all
stakeholders involved. As we move forward with our mission to provide superior education and
training opportunities in infection control practices every year, we strive to improve it
every year
with newer initiatives and higher standards of excellence.
We would be honoured if you could join us in our mission to reduce the global and regional
burden
of HAI. We look forward to meeting you in Hyderabad.
