CARE Medical Partner for Marathon 2015

For the fourth consecutive year, CARE Hospitals was the medical partner for the Airtel Hyderabad Marathon 2015, held on August 30. With a huge turnout of over 18,000 runners — almost double the number in 2014 — the event proved that the citizens of Hyderabad are becoming more fitness conscious. As the chosen medical partner for the event, CARE Hospitals set up 21 medical aid stations at every 2 km. Mobile medical aid facility was available, fully equipped with first aid material and paramedics, along the route from People’s Plaza at Necklace Road. A 15-bed capacity, fully equipped medical centre was set up at the finish line at GMC Balayogi Stadium, Gachibowli. Approximately 700 runners were administered first aid. Hundred of medical associates from CARE Hospitals were deployed to ensure a safe and enjoyable running experience. Among the CARE Hospitals staff were Dr Nikhil Mathur, Head of Emergency, Dr Sohail, Dr P Shiv Kumar, Dr I Pavan, Dr Nikhil Goyal, Dr Saranya, Dr Archana Satyam, Dr Ganesh Jadhav, Dr Megha, Dr Asfan Hashmi, Dr Obaid, Dr Sami and Dr Khalee, Emergency CARE specialists.
