Seeking medical help for Mr. Adem Ahmed’s critical heart condition, the father-daughter duo traveled from Somalia to India. With a history of paralysis and problems of old age, open heart surgery for 69 years old Ahmed was not possible. Through a successful non-surgical Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) done by Dr. Bharat Vijay Purohit, Ahmed is now fit to walk and even climb stairs. A complex heart surgery was performed on a 7-year-old, Mohd. Rehan, who was in a very critical state when he was admitted. Upon diagnosis of the issue, it was observed that the child was suffering from Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia, an extreme form of tetralogy characterized by absence of flow from the right ventricle to the pulmonary arteries.
