Kalp Pili Nedir ve Riskleri Nelerdir? | Dr. Tanmay Kumar Das | CARE Hastaneleri

A pacemaker is a device used to control an irregular heart rhythm. Dr. Tanmay Kumar Das, Consultant Cardiologist, talks more about what a pacemaker is and the precautions related to it. He says that a pacemaker has flexible, insulated wires (leads) that are placed in one or more chambers of the heart. These wires deliver the electrical pulses to adjust the heart rate. Some newer pacemakers don't require leads and are called leadless pacemakers. They are implanted directly into the heart muscle.
