Mr. Arun Prakash S. Korati serves as Director of Infrastructure CDC Group Plc. Previously, he served as Director of Portfolio Management at CDC Group plc since June 2016 with a specific initial focused on the Indian Renewables sector. Prior to joining CDC, where he worked in the 1990s, Mr. Korati was at IL&FS Group and at Axis Bank’s PE. He was employed at IL&FS Investment Managers Limited. Mr. Korati served as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Axis Private Equity Ltd. since 2011. Mr. Korati joined Axis Private Equity in June 2007 and also served as the Acting Chief Executive Officer. Previously, he served as the Head of Indian Private Equity Investing at New Vernon Capital LLC. Mr. Korati was responsible for New Vernon’s India private equity investing practice. He served as Vice President of Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services Limited (ILFS) Investment Managers. Mr. Korati worked at CDC Advisors, where he focused on manufacturing industry investments, and at Pathfinder Investments. 

Mr. Korati has been an Independent Non-Executive Director of Steel Strips Wheels Ltd., since January 13, 2012. He serves as an Executive Director of Axis Private Equity Ltd. and Neesa Leisure Ltd. He served as a Director at Steel Strips Wheels Limited until May 22, 2008. Mr. Korati served as Nominee Director of Updater Services (P) Limited. He has almost 25 years’ experience of working in the Indian private equity space, managing investments in various verticals, eg. start-ups, growth private equity, public markets, infrastructure, and real estate. 

He is a qualified Mechanical & Civil Engineer and has post-graduate degrees in marketing and costing. He received a Master’s in Management from Narsee Monjee Institute, Bombay and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from RV College, Bangalore.
