Mr. Vishal Bali is the Co-founder & Chairman of Medwell Ventures. He also holds the position of Asia Head – Healthcare, TPG Growth, a leading global private equity organisation. Vishal brings with him 24 years of experience in building global healthcare delivery organisations in both developed and developing countries through organic and M&A driven growth initiatives. His unique experience includes managing an integrated healthcare delivery system comprising hospitals, diagnostics, primary care and daycare speciality. His cross-geography exposure spanning Asia Pacific and the Middle East – including India, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, SriLanka and Dubai – has given him the exceptional opportunity to transform healthcare businesses across different verticals. Prior to his current assignment, Vishal was the Group CEO for Fortis Healthcare Limited, the leading healthcare services provider in India with 68 hospitals, and earlier Asia’s leading integrated healthcare delivery system with a presence across 12 countries. He was also the CEO and Managing Director of Wockhardt Hospitals and spearheaded its development from a single hospital to one of the largest pan-India speciality hospitals chain. He led its merger with Fortis Healthcare in India and successfully managed the post-merger integration and divestments. 

Vishal sits on the board of leading healthcare organisations. He has been an invited member of the Strategic Initiatives Group of Joint Commission International, US, and a past member of the Global Agenda Healthcare Council of the World Economic Forum. His keen interest in education and globalisation of healthcare takes him to leading healthcare education institutes and business schools globally; it has also resulted in case studies at the Harvard Business School. An active member of various industry bodies, he is a globally recognised industry public speaker.
