Frontal Sinus Surgery

Frontal sinus surgery is a procedure performed to treat the infected or obstructed sinuses. It is done under general anesthesia by an experienced ENT specialist. Although endoscopy is the most commonly adopted technique, image-guided endoscopy is also sometimes undertaken. Under this procedure, the sinus pathways are rerouted and diseased tissue, if any, is removed. A CT scan is done prior to surgery to examine the sinuses.
