Bio

Dr. Manjula Anagani received her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad. She further underwent training in prenatal genetic evaluation, infertility, ultrasonography, and in minimally invasive procedures (Hysteroscopy & Laparoscopy). She is considered the best Gynecologist in Hyderabad due to her profound knowledge and unending curiosity.

Dr. Anagani is the recipient of numerous honours and awards, including the fourth highest honour for a civilian in India, the distinguished ‘Padma Shri’. She also holds the Guinness world record for removing the highest number of fibroids in a single operation. She was bestowed with the Indian affairs Indian of the year award at India Leadership Conclave and with ‘The Legend’ award by Times healthcare achievers. 

Apart from being recognised for her service excellence, Dr. Anagani has also been widely acknowledged for her noteworthy publications and research work in medicine. She conducts regular training for laparoscopic techniques for gynaecologists across the country.

A pioneer in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Anagani has successfully performed over 20,000 laparoscopic surgeries in Gynaecology. She is the first doctor in India to utilise Autologous Stem Cells to regenerate endometrium in case of endometrial aplasia. She was also instrumental in pioneering a new technique in India to create a Neovagina using a minimally invasive technique for women with absent vaginas. She is armed with extensive expertise in performing complex obstetrics and gynaecological surgeries and procedures including Lap Hysterectomy, Myomectomy, Ovarian Cystectomy, Lap Sling Surgeries, Hysteroscopies, Gynae-mesh Repair for Vaginal Descents, Thermal Endometrial Balloon Ablation, High-Risk Obstetrics procedures, Tubal Recanalisation, Neovagina Formation, Septic Dissection of Myoma, Stress Incontinence Surgeries TVT, TOT, etc.

Dr. Manjula is an active medical advisory member of Johnson & Johnson, Ethicon, Andhra Pradesh Body Donor Association and Savithribaiphule Educational & Charitable Trust, Bayer Sydus, and Sports Authority of Telangana. She is the faculty of Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education (EISA) and CeMAST (Centre for Excellence in Minimal Access Surgical Techniques) and is also Paul Harris Fellow for the Rotary International. She was the Chairperson of the Endoscopic Committee of OGSH (Obst. & Gyn. Society).

Expertise in the field of gynecological laparoscopy is recognized in other countries too. She is a visiting Laparoscopic Surgeon in NMC Specialty Hospitals, Dubai. An invited Operating Faculty for many National and International Operative workshops, CME’s (Continuous Medical Education), and Conferences. She has scientific paper presentations in the US, South Africa, Malaysia, Thailand, Sharjah, and Italy.
