Brief Profile

Dr. S. Bindhu is an experienced Consultant Medical Oncologist, Hemato-Oncologist and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) specialist with over 10 years of clinical experience in oncology. She completed her MBBS from Maharaja Institute of Medical Sciences, Vijayanagaram, followed by an MD in Radiotherapy from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. She subsequently pursued her DM in Medical Oncology from NIMS, Hyderabad, completing her training in 2024. She has also completed MRCP (SCE) in Medical Oncology.

Dr. Bindhu has worked across leading institutions including Kasturba Medical College, MNJ Institute of Oncology/Osmania Hospital, Kamineni Hospital and NIMS Hyderabad. During her career, she gained extensive experience in radiation oncology and subsequently specialized in medical oncology and hematological malignancies. She also served as an Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology at NIMS, Hyderabad, before moving into consultant practice.

Her areas of expertise include breast cancer, gynecological cancers, lung cancer, prostate cancer, kidney and bladder cancers, as well as hematological malignancies such as lymphoma, leukemia and multiple myeloma. She is experienced in Bone Marrow Transplantation and the management of complex solid and hematological tumors. Her treatment expertise includes chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy.

Dr. Bindhu has a strong academic and research profile, with research work including outcomes and prognostic factors in extragonadal germ cell tumors. She has presented several posters and oral papers at national oncology conferences and has received multiple awards for her academic presentations and oncology quizzes, including first prize in oral poster presentation and multiple quiz and paper presentation awards.

She is associated with professional organizations including AROI, ISMPO, MOF, ESMO and ASCO. She is fluent in English, Telugu and Hindi and is committed to providing evidence-based, comprehensive and compassionate cancer care.
