Shri Jayesh Ranjan Flags off Walkathon to Spread awareness on Cancer

Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce, and Information Technology, Government of Telangana Shri Jayesh Ranjan, on Saturday flagged off a walkathon organized by CARE Hospitals Banjara Hills to create awareness on Cancer. The program was organized, marking the World Cancer awareness month.

The program was organized, marking the World Cancer awareness month. Speaking on the occasion Shri Jayesh Ranjan emphasized on the importance of screening for early detection of breast and oral cancers. He said the cancer could be prevented if detected at the early stage. Shri Jayesh Ranjan exhorted the students to create awareness on breast cancer. He also releases a Brochure on Cancer Awareness designed by the CARE Cancer Institute.

Carrying placards, Doctors, Hospitals Staff took part in the walkathon which began at the KBR Park Banjara hills to covered Main Roads, Cancer Hospitals, Zaheera Nagar, Road No.10 Banjara Hills to CARE Outpatient Center, The Staff CARE Hospitals raised slogans against Cancer. Participating in the program Hospital Chief Operating Officer Mr. Nilesh Gupta said about thousands of news cases were being reported every year and most of the deaths were occurring. He stated that about 60% of the cases are diagnosed in critical stage due to lack of awareness among the people he said. CARE Hospitals aim is to spread the importance to step up cancer literacy and knowledge amongst the population.
