Operation Theatres
The operation theatre complexes provide facilities for vascular surgery, laparoscopic surgery, ENT surgery, orthopedics surgery and general surgery. The CARE Outpatient Centre Operation Suite with 6 state-of-the-art operation theatres, along with 20 beds for post-operative recovery and a 6-bed ICU, are also located here. All the day care services have pre-defined packaged tariffs, so that patients are well informed about all the expenses, in advance.

• The OT complex is isolated with a sterile corridor and entry is through an air-shower system.

• The arrangement does not allow harboring of any organisms in the theatre and ICU complex.

• Each theatre has an independent laminar airflow mechanism with filters to maintain theatre sterility.

• The complex has state-of-the-art ventilation systems.

ICUs

• The hospital offers Intensive Care Units with ultra modern equipment and infrastructure provide special care to the patients.

• Specially trained anesthesiologists and internal medicine specialists manage the ICU. Anesthesiologists are available round-the-clock. The patient-nurse ratio in all the ICUs is 1:1.

Dialysis Unit

• The CARE Outpatient Centre’s Dialysis Unit has state-of-the-art computerized machines with very experienced and humane technicians. There is a separate wing for infected cases. The CRRT (Chronic Renal Replacement Therapy) machine is used for critically ill patients. This form of dialysis is well tolerated by haemodynamically unstable patients. The CARE Outpatient Centre also has an active renal transplantation program and performs related donor transplantations. The Nephrology Division provides comprehensive renal care under one roof and aims to be a tertiary care referral centre of international standards.
• A 26-bed dialysis unit with both peritoneal dialysis and haemodialysis is also available.

Endoscopy Suite

The CARE Outpatient Centre possesses highly developed, world-class endoscopy equipment to ensuring best treatment to its patients. These diagnostic tools allow treatment using the following therapeutic procedures:

• UGI Endoscopy — Useful in diagnosing causes of heartburn, difficulty in swallowing, abdominal pain, vomiting, loss of appetite, vomiting blood, weight loss, anaemia, etc

• Colonoscopy — For diagnosing the causes of rectal bleeding, diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal pain, unexplained anemia, weight loss, etc

• Dilatation and Prosthesis Placement in relieving swallowing difficulties in oesophageal cancers

• Argon plasma coagulation to arrest bleeding in peptic ulcers

• Balloon dilatation to re-establish patency and relieve vomiting in pyloric stenosis

• Bile duct stone removal and stenting to relieve jaundice

• Pancreatic duct stenting to relieve pancreatic pain and aid digestion

• Removal of colonic polyps which cause rectal bleeding

• Argon plasma coagulation to arrest bleeding in radiation proctatitis

Day Care Units
CARE Hospitals is a pioneer in day care surgeries; the CARE Outpatient Centre offers high quality day surgeries. This is a boon for patients who do not require continuous nursing care or an overnight stay in the hospital. They receive treatment and undergo minor surgeries on an outpatient basis.

Laboratory (Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology)
The Department of Laboratory Medicine at the CARE Outpatient Centre offers a wide range of laboratory investigations. It comprises the disciplines of Hematology, Pathology, Clinical Biochemistry and Microbiology. The labs offer qualitative analysis of biological fluids, such as blood, serum or plasma, tissue, urine, stool, etc. to support clinicians in the treatment process.

The laboratories on every floor have state-of-the-art equipment, manned by a team of efficient doctors and technical staff, providing world-class results and quality assurance. All the blood samples of laboratory investigations are collected using the vacutainer system of collection, which avoids contamination and, consequently, any gross error. The laboratories also provide round-the-clock services.

Non-invasive Labs
The Non-invasive Lab is one of the key facilities of the CARE Outpatient Centre. Non-invasive testing allows patients to be examined different techniques, free of the risks and discomforts of injections or other invasive maneuvers. These tests help to diagnose almost all known or suspected disorders and testing can often determine the severity of the problems and need for treatment.

Radiology
The Radiology and Imaging unit offers the complete range of diagnostic and image-guided services. A skilled team of specialists, using state-of-the-art equipment, provides safe and efficient imaging services with a human touch.

Laser therapy
Laser therapy is a form of treatment that uses intense beams of light to cut, burn or destroy tissue with utmost precision. The CARE Outpatient Centre is committed to delivering the world’s best and most powerful laser therapy products for pain management and wound healing.

You can reach the ambulance service by dialling 105711 or by approaching the reception. The ambulance is available for use by patients upon prior notification for:

a) Emergencies

b) Transportation to other hospitals for tests not done at the CARE Outpatient Centre

c) For admission into the In-patient CARE Hospitals at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad

The CARE Outpatient Centre has a cafeteria providing clean and hygienic service. It is equipped to cater to the needs of all patients, attendants and visitors and meet the nutrition requirements, specified by the doctors.

Rehabilitation Unit

The rehab unit at the CARE Outpatient Centre is a professionally supervised program to help patients recover. Education and counselling services help heart patients increase physical fitness, reduce symptoms, improve health and reduce the risk of future problems, including heart attacks. The unit aims to provide comprehensive rehabilitation care on an outpatient, as well as in-patient basis.
