The patient or his/her family member can contact the International Patient Services department via telephone or email. You may write to email@example.com or can go through our query section in the website.
You must provide all relevant information on your medical condition, including scans, medical history and current medication, etc. If you have been referred to CARE Hospitals by a doctor in your home country, please give the contact details of the doctor.
The patient is advised to come on a medical visa and the patient’s attendants on medical attendant visas. The patient and attendants are requested to email copies of their passport and contact details including current residential address with contact numbers. Upon receiving these details, CARE Hospitals will send a letter of invitation to the High Commission of India in your country. A copy of the letter of invitation needs to be attached with the visa processing documents to obtain a visa to India for undergoing medical treatment. If your treatment requires frequent visits, you may request for a multiple entry visa; it is similar to obtaining a visa for regular travel purpose.
FRRO stands for Foreigners Regional Registration Office. Patients and attendants travelling for medical requirements have the Visa type ‘M’ (meaning ‘Medical’) and MXV (meaning Medical Attendants). These visas require to be registered within 14 days of arrival at the hospital. This type of visa can be extended if the patient requires a longer stay at the hospital.
Our International Patient Services team will help in getting your visa registered with FRRO. Online registration for inpatients will be done at the International Patient Services department. Our team will guide you every step of the way in the visa registration process and extensions, if any.
Patients from Pakistan and Bangladesh are required to register their arrival within 24 hours with the nearest Police Station/Commissioner’s Office.

Patients and attendants are required to show their passports at the registration desk to get registered at our hospital. The hospital will maintain a copy of the passport for hospital records.

At CARE Hospitals, your primary consultants and nursing team will be responsible for all your medical requirements, whereas all non-medical requirements will be met by our International Patient Services department.
The International Patient Services team will organize the services of a language interpreter, who will be with you during medical interactions and help you communicate effectively.
Please inform our International Patient Services department; they will assist you in making hotel accommodation arrangements.
We will do our best to prepare and serve you a variety of choices of food as per your preference; all dietary prescriptions are subject to your doctor’s advice.
Smoking and alcohol are forbidden in the hospital premises.
CARE Hospitals is recognized by major health insurance companies; the insurance service desk will help and initiate the process. We will require a guarantee of payment from the service provider by email prior to admission or within 24 hours of admission. If the insurance company does not give us a guarantee of payment, we advise you to get the treatment in a cash mode and get reimbursed later from your health insurance service provider.
Your treating consultant will inform you the date of your discharge. At the time of discharge our medical team will explain to you the treatment/surgery that you have had, the medications you need to take and follow-up requirements (if any). The team will hand over all your medical investigation reports, X-rays, MRIs, other scan images and medicines.
