As The Cities Open How Safe Are You?

We are still in the midst of a pandemic and doesn’t seem like it's going anywhere soon. For some cities, conditions are improving but others are experiencing a sudden upsurge in the coronavirus cases outbreak. We have to live with it, fight with it and protect ourselves from it with each passing day. Can we say that our lives and the well-being of people around us are in our hands?

We cannot be confined to our homes forever, we need to go out and save our economies, feed our families and continue with our lives as well. In simpler terms, while medical experts race to understand the health implications, countries are opening up with booming operations and with it increasing the risk of getting infected. If you get a chance to read daily news updates you probably know how strangely the number of cases is skyrocketing. No one seems safe, the only shield that we have from this novel COVID-19 is none other than our masks, sanitisers and gloves. Therefore, we have jotted down a few essential doable points to be kept in mind at all times.

  • No matter what, wearing a mask is important: Cover your nose and mouth with a mask every time you leave your house. Please wear it even if you are visiting known people, shops or offices as you really never know the trigger points.
  • Wash your hands regularly: When we step out to buy groceries or are just out for a walk, our hands may come in contact with innumerable unnoticed things, and, the virus which cannot be seen with our naked eyes can be thriving on those surfaces. To keep it simple - wash your hands thoroughly multiple times a day; sanitize your hands and other items that may have come in contact with foreign surfaces, like your phone, every time you go out.
  • Sanitize: Sanitizers have proven to kill even the slightest trace of such viruses on our hands due to the high level of alcohol as its active ingredient.
  • Social distancing is a key: Whenever you go out for any kind of work or even at your office, follow the 3 feet distance rule. It may seem impractical, but it is the only way you can avoid coming in contact with an infectious human.
  • Basic Manners: Even if you feel a little uneasy or have the sense to cough or sneeze remember mannerisms fundamentals - Cover your mouth and distance yourself.

There is a plethora of shortcuts or pieces of advice to safeguard yourself from the virus, but they can often be misleading and ineffectual. Follow only reliable sources of information, and pass the same right information to others. Be safe !!
